Mr. Bennet
Mr. Bennet loves to laugh at others. He finds particular amusement through his family members. He is quick to laugh at his wife, Lydia, and Mr. Collins. Mr. Bennet does not take his parenting duties very serious. He neglects his job in favor of amusement, causing his daughters to make very bad choices. This is particularly shown when Lydia elopes. If Mr. Bennet had prevented her from going to Brighton, the scandal would have never happened. Mr. Bennet's tendency to laugh also rubs off on Elizabeth. She finds humor in others actions, something that causes her to miss important pieces of their personality. Mr. Bennet does not take life seriously, causing many terrible consequences for the rest of his family.
