Mrs. Bennet
Mrs. Bennet is characterized by her overwhelming desire to marry off her daughters. Her only goal in life is to marry them all to rich, handsome, young men. She employs various schemes and tricks to achieve this, including sending Jane to Netherfield on a horse so that she will have to stay the night. Often, Mrs. Bennet will take her desire too far and embarrass herself and her daughters. Her husband, however, finds it amusing, one of the reasons he married her. Mrs. Bennet is a gossip and she is always trying to "beat" her neighbors in the marriage competition. She is always shown to be petty, and she does not truly care about anyone's feelings but her own, as shown by the complaints over her nerves when she aught to be worrying about her family.
